Laurent Baffie returns to the stage with Oh Putain Laurent!, a show in which he unfolds what has always been his playground: razor-sharp repartee, improvisation and scalpel-like cuts into TV conventions. From the Ardisson years to punchlines cut in the editing room, he reenacts the behind-the-scenes and the unspoken, between on-set confidences and memories of hidden cameras.
On stage, the writer and director rediscovers his taste for measured provocation and improbable zoology, digresses on sexuality, subverts situations and carries the audience along a stream of gags you no longer hear on television. His direct writing and verbal mechanics, honed in radio and theatre, stay the course: say, test, respond.
