Info

On April 25, 2026, Sam Sauvage takes up residence at La Chapelle Argence in Troyes. A self-taught singer-songwriter from the North, he moves between chanson, pop, electro and rock, propelled by a deep voice that immediately commands attention. On stage he makes his body speak as much as his words, with a slightly ungainly physicality that evokes the Talking Heads, a talk-sung delivery when called for, and an energy that slips from tension to tenderness. Raised in Boulogne-sur-Mer, he plugged in his first guitar after discovering Dylan on YouTube and listened to Bashung extensively without letting himself be boxed in. His alternative pop draws on new wave and the 1980s while remaining very current: clear melodies, direct writing, and a sharp eye on others— from outcasts to night owls to drifting dreamers. His track Les gens qui dansent (j’adore) unfolds as a nonchalant spoken-word over a mechanical beat and a western guitar, hovering between gentle irony and melancholy. In 2026 he is honing a visual and textual universe at the intersection of theatre and rock, with a debut album in sight.
