Max Cooper Av Live

On 23 April 2026, Le Sucre in Lyon hosts Max Cooper for an AV Live performance. A producer and visual artist born in Belfast and based in London, he moves between electronica, melodic techno, ambient and experimental music. Trained as a genetics researcher with a PhD in computational biology, he long divided his time between the lab and the DJ booth before devoting himself fully to music. His early maxi singles on the German label Traum revealed meticulous rhythms, atmospheric textures and highly narrative structures.

Since then, Max Cooper has developed conceptual projects in which science, mathematics and architecture serve as material for audiovisual cycles. He is responsible for albums conceived as complete experiences — from Human to Emergence, followed by One Hundred Billion Sparks and Yearning for the Infinite. Through his label Mesh, he has expanded collaborations with digital artists and devised performances that blend sound and image organically. At Le Sucre, his AV Live will deploy this hybrid approach, balancing sonic precision and visual construction for a focused immersion into his artistic universe.
