Info
Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi has established a minimalist, melodic style that transcends the boundaries of classical music. Trained at Milan’s Conservatorio Verdi and having worked with Luciano Berio, he has built a discography in which repetitive motifs, clear harmonies and subtle electronic touches form an instantly recognisable language. From Le Onde to Divenire, In a Time Lapse and Elements, and later Seven Days Walking, Underwater and The Summer Portraits (January 2025), he explores settings from solo to chamber ensembles, performing on stage and outdoors after appearances in iconic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall. His pieces have also found a wide resonance in cinema, accompanying films like Intouchables, Nomadland, The Father and La Tresse. At the Arènes de Nîmes on 3 July 2026, as part of the Festival de Nîmes, Einaudi returns with a programme refocused on the piano, combining signature pieces with recent compositions. The evening is conceived to let silence breathe, to expand the dynamics and to allow each motif to live within the monument’s acoustics, along a clear, sensitive sonic journey without unnecessary effects.
