Meet on April 6, 2026, at Cold Crash, 4 Rue du Seil, 44400 Rezé, for an evening of black and post-black music led by three projects with strongly defined artistic worlds.
VALDRIN
Formed in 2010 in Ohio, Valdrin draws a line between the harshness of sharp black metal and immersive melodic atmospheres. Over the course of their albums, the four-piece has developed a singular identity in which the conceptual dimension counts as much as the songwriting. Complex compositions, recurring motifs, a narrative that evolves from one record to the next: the band shapes a coherent whole aimed at immersion.
AMALEKIM
An Italo-Polish band, Amalekim extends a black metal rooted in esoteric references. Their third album, Shir Hashirim, released in spring 2025 on Avantgarde Music, delves into themes of the occult, the profane and Hermeticism. This work permeates the music as well as the concept and the lyrics, creating a universe in which ritual and symbolism structure the sonic trajectory.
NUIT D’ORAGE
Founded in 2023, Nuit d’Orage develops a French post-black that oscillates between rhythmic intensity and contemplative melancholy. Committed to atmosphere and storytelling, the band treats each piece as a story. The lyrics, mostly in French with occasional forays into English chosen for their musicality, accompany a debut album, Automne, released in October 2025.
