Celtic Woman- A New Era

Celtic Woman brings A New Era to Moncton on April 29, 2026 at Molson Canadian Centre, 21 Casino Drive. Formed in Dublin in the mid-2000s, the all-female Irish ensemble was conceived by musical director David Downes for a 2004 television special and has since toured widely with a rotating lineup of vocalists and a featured solo violinist. The project keeps a collective identity while welcoming new voices from classical, musical theatre and traditional backgrounds.

On stage, Celtic Woman blends Irish folk and Celtic roots with orchestral pop and classical crossover. The repertoire moves between Gaelic airs and English-language ballads, reworked for layered harmonies, strings and light percussion. Their shows are often built as a sequence of themed tableaux, alternating intimate songs and ensemble pieces.

A New Era continues that approach with refreshed arrangements anchored by the group’s vocal blend and fiddle leads. The set traces their songbook from early titles to more recent material, carried by an orchestrated sound that runs through their albums and filmed performances.
