Sarah Kinsley

Sarah Kinsley brings her singular indie-pop project to Vancouver on March 27, 2026, at the Hollywood Theatre, 3123 West Broadway. Based in New York, the singer, songwriter and producer builds songs from the ground up with a clear DIY approach and a taste for lush, finely layered arrangements. Trained early on piano and violin, she blends voice, strings, keyboards and electronic textures, leaning toward art-pop structures that evolve and rise with patience.

After early singles, her 2021 EP The King put her on the radar of US and UK indie scenes. Cypress followed in 2022, sharpening the contrast between intimate ballads and more rhythmic tracks. In 2023, Ascension pushed further into alternative pop with melodic refrains and close-up production, conceived entirely by Kinsley in the studio and adapted live with a lean setup. Her first full-length, Escaper (2024), gathers these threads into a more narrative frame, connecting her taste for melody and experimentation. On stage, expect tight, incremental builds and songs that move from quiet confession to pulsing momentum, mapped carefully to the space of the room.
