Info
Rainbow Kitten Surprise brings the bones North American Tour to History, 1663 Queen Street East, Toronto, on March 5, 2026. Formed in Boone, North Carolina around Ela Melo and Darrick “Bozzy” Keller, and completed by Ethan Goodpaster, Jess Haney and Charlie Holt, the band works a lean blend of indie rock and alternative folk, with expressive vocals, tight harmonies and clear shifts from intimate whispers to more electric, percussive moments.
After early self-releases gathered as Seven + Mary (2013), RKS refined its writing on RKS (2015), then joined Elektra for How to: Friend, Love, Freefall (2018), a record that pushed vocal arrangements and the tension between stripped ballads and more driven tracks. Love Hate Music Box (2024) carries that thread forward, mixing folk textures, pop-leaning rhythms and personal storytelling that often circles intimacy, spirituality and identity.
For this tour, the band partners with PLUS1 so that $1 per ticket goes to the Rainbow Kitten Surprise Fund, supporting marginalized communities with access to vital resources and critical aid.
