Anthrax lands in Thunder Bay on February 27, 2026 at Thunder Bay Community Auditorium, 1 Paul Shaffer Drive, Thunder Bay, Canada. Formed in New York in 1981 around guitarist Scott Ian, the band helped shape the first wave of American thrash and stands with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth in the Big Four. Sharp, fast riffs, chant-ready hooks and a mix of hardcore punk and classic heavy metal define their sound. From Fistful of Metal and Spreading the Disease to the pivotal Among the Living, their catalog blends social themes, pop culture nods and a dry sense of humor. The alternation between Joey Belladonna and John Bush reshaped the band’s tone over time, opening heavier, more alternative directions on Sound of White Noise and Stomp 442. Their 1991 team-up with Public Enemy on Bring the Noise marked a rap–metal crossover, followed by a clear return to thrash on Worship Music and For All Kings.
Exodus joins the lineup to complete a straight-ahead thrash double bill. Two bands, one stage in Thunder Bay, for a night built on tight riffs and unfiltered intensity.
