MAGIC CITY HIPPIES WINTER TOUR 2026

Magic City Hippies bring their indie-funk blend to The Great Hall in Toronto on January 28, 2026. Formed in Miami by singer-guitarist Robby Hunter with drummer-producer Pat Howard and guitarist John Coughlin, the trio threads breezy pop melodies through tight funk grooves and psych-tinged guitars, a sound first shaped on street sets and bar stages before the project shifted from the Robby Hunter Band to Magic City Hippies in the mid-2010s. The EP Hippie Castle (2015) set the blueprint with supple basslines, hip-hop touches and clear-cut hooks. Modern Animal (2019) opened up the production and leaned into mid-tempo atmospheres, while Water Your Garden (2022) moved between upbeat tracks and more contemplative cuts.
