Christian Marc Gendron - Trilogie

Christian Marc Gendron puts the piano back at the center with Trilogie, a new chapter that brings together highlights from his three most recent tours and freshly composed pieces. A pianist and singer‑songwriter from Quebec, he revisits in his own way the figure of the piano man, blending the rock’n’roll energy of Jerry Lee Lewis, the soul inflections of Ray Charles, the grooves of Stevie Wonder, the pop hooks of Elton John and the melodies of Billy Joel. A tribute to Gino Vannelli also joins the program, alongside original creations.

On stage, Gendron alternates rearranged covers and personal compositions, with a taste for interaction and a few asides that let the set breathe. He is accompanied by nine musicians under the musical direction of Simon Godin, and features the voice of Manon Séguin on several numbers. Trilogie charts a journey through eras and influences, always guided by the piano and the energy of live performance.
