Super Cabane! - Exhibition of the 10th Mini Maousse Competition

Since 2003, the Mini Maousse microarchitecture competition has invited students of architecture, design, art, landscape and engineering to explore the small scale with inventiveness and poetry. The 10th edition of the Super Cabane! competition proposes to reinvent the act of building by placing “care,” attention and sharing at the heart of architecture.

Students in art, architecture and design were invited to take part in the tenth edition of the Mini Maousse competition, entitled “Supercabane!”. The competition asked them to imagine a cabin made from recycled materials, intended to be installed in a schoolyard and to become a space for play and pedagogy. Three deliverables were expected: a tale, a game and a Supercabane project.

Supercabane! invites us to rethink the ways we inhabit and care for the world, by accompanying inhabited environments and raising awareness among young children as well as the general public about ecological issues.

This edition encourages work in collaboration with children in order to build, together, the sustainable cities of tomorrow. It was conceived for and with primary school children to take part in an ecological shaping of future urban dwellers, and to inspire them to build collectively in a playful way.

The exhibition presents the winning projects of the competition, along with a selection of 59 cabins designed by architects, drawings by Roland Shön, and a version of Mini Maousse intended for primary, middle and high schools.
