Dany Boon is back on stage with Clowning Is Not a Profession, a one-man show that returns him to his favorite territory: larger-than-life characters, the absurdities of everyday life, and his keen eye for observation. Seven years after his last tour, the comedian returns to his childhood dream and sets off solo, microphone in hand, for a new series of sketches that move between confidences, memories, and very concrete situations. He blends accents, shifts of tone, and dialogue caught on the fly, strings together familiar figures and highlights the small contradictions that cling to modern life—directly and with precise writing.

On March 27, 2027, at the Zénith Amiens Métropole in Amiens, Dany Boon will present this brand-new full-length show. Clowning Is Not a Profession raises questions about play, about what remains of childhood when one becomes an adult, and about the freedom the stage affords. It’s a return to basics in spirit, without superfluous effects, where the energy of stand-up meets his characters and his very personal way of bringing an entire gallery to life in a few words.
