Alexis Le Rossignol « Le sens de la vie »

Alexis Le Rossignol draws his stories from everyday life and those gray areas where almost nothing happens, yet where everything gets decided. In Le sens de la vie, he begins with the memory of a horse named Sans plus and with a wish that wasn’t really a wish to unfold tales at a human scale. He blends storytelling with a pragmatic, “what’s-in-the-fridge” kind of logic, stringing together small scenes, digressions and the questions we usually avoid. What do we do with our lives? How do we construct our choices, our renunciations and our acrobatics to stay standing? Alexis moves forward without forcing it, with clear phrasing, precise writing and that slight slant that sets the scene before twisting it just enough.

On 2 May 2026 at the Théâtre La Gaîté Rive Gauche in Paris, he presents this new set as one opens a notebook: personal fragments, on-the-ground observations, tiny absurd logics and hushed confidences come together. No grand theories — rather details that line up and illuminate the question without closing it. You hear interior dialogues, tiny lives, shaky plans, and Alexis’s little music, between gentle lucidity and controlled nonchalance. An evening in which he talks about us without making it obvious.
