Deadletter

Originally from Yorkshire and now based in south London, DEADLETTER draws a clear line between post‑punk tension and mutant groove. The band mines the acidic verve of The Fall and the off‑kilter electricity of LCD Soundsystem to assemble songs where sharp angles collide with a distinctly physical sense of movement. The lyrics explore the darker side of everyday life, keeping a touch of irony and a taste for storytelling that lightens the gloom without sugarcoating it.

Longtime friends, the musicians play with a rapport that can be heard in the rhythmic drive, the clean breaks, the basslines that compel you to move and the snapping bursts of guitar or saxophone. On stage, this machinery privileges instinct, dance and impact, while still allowing room for nuance and rough edges.

DEADLETTER will be at Rock School Barbey Bordeaux on 9 April 2026, for a moment where friction, expression and sweat find common ground, between urgency and precision.
