Natascha Rogers - Onaida

On March 21, 2026, at the Sémaphore in Trébeurden, Natascha Rogers places her percussion and her voice at the forefront. A French-American singer, percussionist and composer of mixed heritage (Dutch mother, Native American father), she weaves music that is rooted in gesture and rhythm. With Onaida, her current repertoire, she blends Afro-Cuban pulses, vocal traditions and a poetry-infused folk, creating pieces that move in waves—between breath, languages and memory.

On stage, Natascha plays with contrast: the voice guides, the hand drums answer, the piano opens pathways, the guitar sketches lines, the drum kit restarts the momentum. The material remains raw and fluid, focused on the body and on collective listening. Between spirituality and committed lyricism, her music preserves a physical energy, carried by a sense of groove that leaves space to breathe.
