Info

Thibault Cauvin will take over the Grand Théâtre Angers on June 17, 2026, for a concert at the heart of his new artistic phase. There he will unveil an album of original works and a tour conceived for venues that put his guitar at the center. His classical practice becomes an open playground, where the boundaries between repertoires fade and where words, more present, slip into the music without freezing it. The program reflects his taste for the moment, his closeness to the audience and his way of creating pauses that allow energy to circulate.

A renowned French guitarist and winner of 36 international awards, Thibault Cauvin has toured more than 130 countries. His classical training intersects with a more electric impulse inherited from a rock‑musician father, and his collaborations—including a recent duo with -M-—nurture a free, curious and fluid approach. This tour is part of a trajectory that has also opened onto writing since the publication of his first novel, Alter Ego. In Angers he brings these different facets together for a restrained yet lively, highly nuanced performance built around new pieces and a playing style that speaks as much as words do.
