Info

Chance Peña comes from East Texas and charts a course between narrative folk and contemporary sounds. Discovered at a young age, he signed with Secret Road Music Publishing at 17 and first gained recognition through early sync placements, including “Up, Up & Away” in the film Five Feet Apart. He went on to co-write “Conversations in the Dark” for John Legend, a collaboration that earned him a Grammy nomination.

Since then, he has released three EPs, a series of singles and his debut album, Ever-Shifting, Continual Blossoming (2024), which established his songwriting as both intimate and precise. His new project on Columbia Records, When I Change My Mind I Don’t Mean It (2025), brings together 14 tracks written in an isolated cabin in California, where he pursues an introspective, direct folk stripped of unnecessary effects. On stage, he has toured with Tom Odell across Europe and the UK, after supporting The Lumineers on their Automatic World Tour.

After a sold-out showing at the Alhambra in 2024, Chance Peña returns to Paris for a date at Le Trianon on 24 May 2026. The programme features songs that blend storytelling, spare melodies and modern textures—crafted for attentive listening as much as for audiences willing to be carried along.
