Hypocrisy, a cornerstone of Swedish death metal for more than three decades, returns in a tight lineup. Founded by Peter Tägtgren, the band has built a recognizable sound that is at once direct and melodic. From Penetralia to Worship, via The Fourth Dimension, Abducted and Virus, their trajectory tells of songwriting that refines textures without losing impact. Massive riffs, cavernous vocals, tempos that alternate between full-on charge and taut tension: Hypocrisy shapes dark atmospheres that come alive onstage. In Paris, the band will revive these classics and open the door to its latest variations, drawing on experience forged in the studio and on stage.
The bill also features Abbath, a figure of Norwegian black metal, delivering tracks with cold riffs and a dry, punchy attack; Vomitory, another face of Swedish death metal—direct and uncompromising; and Vreid, heirs to a melodic black metal that favors progression and breadth.
