Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds bring their haunting rock to the Théâtre Antique in Vienne on 15 July 2026. Led by Nick Cave’s deep voice and intense storytelling, the band unfurls a sound where piano, organ, rough-edged guitars and strings intersect, balancing electric tension with stripped-back ballads. From the early bursts of From Her to Eternity to the more recent landscapes of Skeleton Tree and Ghosteen, their discography serves as a playground, with songs that move along a knife-edge between dusty blues, post-punk and dark folk. Alongside Cave, Warren Ellis drives the dynamics on keyboards and violin, blending minimalist motifs with rawer surges. On stage, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds play with contrasts and space, alternating restrained washes, piano interludes and denser passages propelled by the rhythm section. The setlist ranges widely, between expected classics and recent tracks, leaving room for in-the-moment variations. In the stone shell of the Théâtre Antique, the band’s alchemy toys with silences and climaxes, producing a concert where storytelling and energy flow freely.
