Yves Jamait

Yves Jamait returns to Marseille on May 11, 2026, at the Artplexe Canebière to present Maxime et moi, a show in which he revisits his artistic journey through the work of Maxime Le Forestier. As a teenager, discovering Le Forestier unsettled his bearings; today Jamait stages this musical kinship—between confidences and carefully chosen songs—as a close exploration of what shaped him. A regular on Marseille stages, from l’Espace Julien to the Cepac Silo, he opts here for an intimate format conducive to proximity and subtlety.

He will be accompanied by Michel Haumont, a leading figure in fingerstyle guitar and a longtime collaborator of Le Forestier, as well as Jérôme Broyer, Jamait’s partner for more than ten years. Together they create pared-down arrangements in which the guitars trace precise counter-melodies and leave space for the lyrics to breathe. On the programme is a dialogue between selected covers and original pieces, sharing the songs that have accompanied Jamait’s path and continue to inspire him—without excessive nostalgia, with the simplicity of a private musical conversation.
