Les Colocs

Les Colocs arrive at Théâtre à l’Ouest Rouen in Rouen on April 26, 2026. On stage for twenty years, this comedy by Jean Heredia, Patrick Hernandez and Robert Punzano relies on brisk writing and Jean Heredia’s direction to follow three roommates who aren’t exactly on the same page. On one side, Robert, a proud layabout, and Jano, shy but big‑hearted, who have come up from their native South to try their luck as actors. On the other, Jean‑Phil, a Parisian from the Marais, who moves into the flat and upends their plans. Between sing‑song accents, misunderstandings and small tensions, situations unfold effortlessly in a café‑theatre spirit that plays on contrasts of temperament and manners.

On stage the cast alternates, bringing a different color to each performance: Jean Heredia or Cyril Rosique, Fabien Lascombe or Vincent Desprat, with Martin Magli completing the trio. The text leaves room for performance—the slips in the silences, the sharp retorts and the misunderstandings that reveal, beneath the patter and awkwardness, three characters devoted to their dreams. A flatshare that walks a tightrope between friendship, scrappiness and theatrical ambition, carried by actors who relish the situations and the offbeat timing.
