Les Innocents

Les Innocents are back on stage on June 5, 2026 at the Zephyr Hem. Fronted by Jipé Nataf and Jean-Christophe Urbain, the duo has been crafting a brand of French pop since the late 1980s marked by crisp guitars, clear harmonies and ear-catching melodies. You think of “L’autre Finistère,” “Colore,” “Un homme extraordinaire” or “Jodie,” all songs that have become touchstones, but also of the albums from the group’s second life, from Mandarine to 6 1/2, where their songwriting has grown more refined without losing the momentum of their early days. On stage, the interplay of acoustic and electric guitars brings out the details of the arrangements, voices cross and the choruses breathe and gain in presence. Between signature hits and more recent numbers, the concert moves between luminous pop and more stripped-down ballads, with that knack for capturing simple images and everyday stories and turning them into unmistakable choruses.
