Issac Delgado performs at Forum Vauréal on March 15, 2026. A leading figure of salsa and timba, he returns with the album “Mira como vengo,” nourished by the rhythms that have shaped his trajectory. Nicknamed “El Chévere,” he maintains a direct rapport with the audience and advances with precise songwriting rooted in the Cuban tradition.

Influenced by icons such as Benny Moré and Celia Cruz, Issac blends heritage and modernity without severing his roots. He began his career in Pacho Alonso’s orchestra, later joined NG La Banda, and launched his solo career in 1991 with “Dando La Hora,” alongside Gonzalo Rubalcaba. Since then he has produced numerous recordings and collaborations, notably with Celia Cruz and Gilberto Santa Rosa.

Active for nearly thirty years, he has established himself with music in which timba sits alongside the most organic salsa, driven by thoughtful arrangements and a true attention to groove. With “Mira como vengo,” he prolongs this clear line and reminds us what gives Cuban music its strength: a strong sense of rhythm, voices at the forefront, and a collective energy that spans the ages.
