As part of the Le Haillan Chanté festival, Emily Loizeau returns to L’Entrepôt Le Haillan on 13 June 2026 with Icare, her album released in autumn 2024. Building on her previous record, Icare was recorded in Wales with her touring musicians and produced by John Parish, known for his work with PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding and Dominique A. On stage, Emily is taking a more electric direction: guitars, keyboards and tight rhythms underpin a performance that places the text at its centre.
Her new songs confront our times without hesitation: climate disruption, economic shocks, and the lingering effects of public health crises. The darkness is faced head-on, but the impulse remains turned toward the light, balancing determination and solidarity. Icare moves forward with clear, direct songwriting, seeking to speak to the collective as much as the intimate—an invitation to stand together. In partnership with Bordeaux Chanson.
