Info
David Hallyday presents Requiem pour un fou, a concert in which he links his own story with that of Johnny Hallyday. On 24 March 2026 at the Colisée Chartres, he revisits his father’s work and intertwines it with his own, with the measured distance and affection of a son who is also a musician. A songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist, he was largely responsible for Sang pour Sang, the album that sealed their reunion. On stage he sets Johnny’s songs and his own in conversation, works with contrasts and echoes, and adjusts arrangements to bring out a single thread, from the intimate to the rock.
Requiem pour un fou offers a personal interpretation of the Hallyday legacy, between transmission, lineage and a love of live performance. It features his voice and his songwriting, a way of casting new light on classics through his own trajectory. The event is conceived as much for those who have followed his career as for those who keep Johnny’s songs in mind, with the aim of rediscovering them in a different way.
