Stacey Kent

Stacey Kent returns to France and will perform at the Cité des congrès in Nantes on 9 April 2026. An American singer who is both a Francophile and French-speaking, she has for years carved out a distinctive path in jazz, moving between the Great American Songbook, French chanson and Brazilian influences. After earning a gold record in France with Breakfast on the Morning Tram, she made an impact in 2010 with Raconte‑moi, whose 15th anniversary she is celebrating while also unveiling new material.

On stage, Stacey Kent favors nuance and detail. The programme includes both reinterpreted standards and songs written specifically with composer Jim Tomlinson, as well as lyrics by authors such as Kazuo Ishiguro. Her clear voice, precise phrasing and a deliberate sense of storytelling create an intimate atmosphere without unnecessary effects. With around fifteen albums to her name and concerts given around the world, she continues to broaden her repertoire and to set languages and styles in dialogue, gently and with a coherence that is characteristic of her.
