Info

Murray Head is one of those voices that defined an era without being confined to a single hit. Released in 1975, "Say It Ain’t So, Joe" still resonates everywhere: a protest song that in France became a slow dance many people danced without necessarily grasping the gravity of its lyrics. Behind that single lies a broad career, spanning acoustic folk, rock and a turn toward new wave in the 1980s, pursued alongside a career as an actor. English by birth and francophone by choice, he moves from one language to the other naturally and has long settled at the foot of the Pyrenees.

On stage, Murray Head seeks intimacy rather than artifice. He revisits his classics, slips in more recent songs and shares the stories that have punctuated his journey. Guitars to the fore, clear melodies and an instantly recognisable voice—his concerts have the feel of simple, direct reunions.

Murray Head will be at L'Olympia Paris on 5 March 2026. On the bill are his emblematic songs and his folk, rock and new wave influences, for a set that prioritises connection with the audience and the essence of the songs.
