Info

Ara Malikian crosses borders with his violin. Trained in classical music and shaped by his travels, the Armenian-born musician—who passed through the Madrid Royal Symphony Orchestra—creates a dialogue between repertoire, his own compositions and personal arrangements. His playground stretches from Spain through Central Europe to Latin America, with colors that blend rock pulses, Balkan influences and Iberian accents.

On stage, he plays in close proximity to his four musicians, in a tight formation that places the violin at the heart of the sound. Energy, precision and a sense of musical storytelling shape a concert conceived as a journey: interlocking themes, breaths, collective climaxes and more stripped-back moments. You can hear his taste for building bridges between traditions and his constant curiosity for timbre and tone colors.

Ara Malikian will be at the Grand Rex in Paris on 17 March 2026. It’s an opportunity to discover a vision of the violin that charts its course between classical music and today’s sounds.
