Ran-D
Nato a Zeeland, nella provincia di Brabante Settentrionale nei Paesi Bassi, Randy Wieland ha dato vita al progetto Ran-D agli inizi degli anni 2000 ed è entrato sulla scena hardstyle nel 2006 con il brano «D-Pression». Ran-D ha poi proseguito il suo percorso passando per Special Records e A2 Records, prima di co-fondare nel 2015 Roughstate Music insieme a Frequencerz, Adaro e B-Front. Il suo registro si basa su un hardstyle diretto e melodico, che unisce kicks massicci, linee synth nette, break vocali e strutture pensate per i grandi palchi dei festival. Negli anni Ran-D ha firmato tracce diventate punti di riferimento del suo catalogo, come «Living for the Moment» (2009), «Firestarter» (2015), «Zombie» (2017) e «Hurricane» (2018). Parallelamente alla carriera solista, nel 2011 ha formato con Adaro il duo Gunz For Hire, che ha sviluppato un’estetica più cupa e narrativa al crocevia tra hardstyle e rawstyle. Ran-D ha inoltre collaborato con Alpha2, Zany, B-Front, Phuture Noize, Crypsis, Endymion e Digital Punk, e appare regolarmente su palchi come Qlimax, Defqon.1, Reverze, Decibel Outdoor, Q-BASE e The Qontinent. Nel 2017 Ran-D è stato anche protagonista di un’edizione X-Qlusive ad Amsterdam.
