Venus In Noise

Formed in London around Aphrodite Goulioumi and Pablo Casadey, Venus In Noise takes shape in 2019 after a first meeting at a concert in east London, followed by a reunion at Bikini Kill’s homecoming show, a shared reference that illuminates part of their musical horizon. The duo develops a tense noise rock and post-punk repertoire, driven by abrasive guitars, a dry rhythm section and an energy inherited from the most direct punk, with a marked taste for rough textures and compact formats. Venus In Noise has released several singles since its beginnings, including "Deep End", available in 2024, which extends this direct and nervous aesthetic. Their journey was built first on stage, between gigs in London and appearances in Tokyo, in contexts tied to independent and alternative scenes. Venus In Noise thus sits within a duo dynamic where the complementarity between its two members shapes a compact, tense and straightforward sound, at the crossroads of noise, punk and the most minimal experimental rock.
