Info
On October 23, 2027, The Chats land at Electric Ballroom in London with their no-frills take on Australian shed punk: short songs, lean riffs, and a raw, pub-ready sound that never wastes a second. Formed on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in 2016, the band built its identity around fast, minimal, spontaneous tracks and lyrics that zoom in on everyday life with a dry, blunt edge.
After early EPs that set the tone, the viral push of “Smoko” helped them break out of the local circuit and take their scrappy energy far beyond Australia. Since then, they’ve moved from sweaty bars to bigger stages without polishing the corners, and albums like High Risk Behaviour (2020) and Get Fucked (2022) keep that same straight-ahead momentum. Expect a set that hits quick, loud, and direct, with the kind of crowd charge that suits a room like Electric Ballroom.
