Info
On October 22, 2027, The Chats land at Electric Ballroom in London with the kind of fast, stripped-back punk that doesn’t waste time. Formed on Australia’s Sunshine Coast in 2016, they’ve built their identity on short songs, lean riffs and a raw, pub-rock edge often tagged as “shed rock”. The early EPs set the tone, and the track “Smoko” helped push their deadpan, everyday-life storytelling far beyond the local scene.
Since then, the band have kept things direct: quick tempos, minimal gear, and lyrics that hit with a dry, blunt sense of humor. After guitarist Josh Price’s departure, Josh Hardy joined in 2020, just ahead of their first album High Risk Behaviour, followed by Get Fucked in 2022. Expect a set that moves like a sprint, tight and loud, made for shouting along and getting knocked around in the crowd.
