Info
Yarol Poupaud is a French guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer. A defining figure in French rock, he first established himself as a founding member of the group FFF, a pioneer of French funk rock in the 1990s. With his instinctive guitar playing and sense of rhythm, he has crafted a sonic signature at the crossroads of rock, funk and soul.
Yarol has pursued a wide range of experiences and encounters, from the alternative scene to large-scale tours. He notably accompanied Niagara in the 1990s and Johnny Hallyday for several years, as guitarist, musical director and on-stage ally. Passionate about the diversity of sounds and cultures, he has also collaborated with many African, Indian and Jamaican musicians, incorporating reggae, Afrobeat and blues influences into his universe. He has also worked on numerous film scores, earning a César nomination in 2010 for the film Bus Palladium.
