I nearly titled this show 'Pleasure.' And then I thought that the only pleasures you’d imagine in front of a title like that would be pleasures forbidden to anyone under 18. Or, for financial reasons, I want those under 18 to be able to attend my show as well. So I named it 'Delicious': it’s a family show at the Zénith in Pau. In an hour and twenty minutes, I will try to unravel the complexity of what provokes pleasure in human beings. Of course, pleasure can come from a glass of Sancerre you let linger along the banks of the Seine in spring. But it can also be triggered by the death of someone you don’t love. Of course, an unexpected promotion within the company brings joy. But also the pleasure of eating Camembert in Camembert, or knowing that you don’t pronounce the 'z' in Avoriaz (which lets you feel superior to everyone who doesn’t know it). My aim is for this show to provoke in you a certain pleasure, in a self-referential moment as delightful as eating Camembert in Camembert.
