Info
On January 30, 2027, Kaz Hawkins lends her voice to La Clef, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, for a concert where blues crosses with soul and gospel impulses. Hailing from Belfast, the singer-songwriter has built a repertoire with intimate writing, carried by a very direct way of storytelling, almost like a conversation with the audience. On stage, it all starts with the singing: an expressive timbre, nuances that range from soulful ballads to more rhythm-and-blues-influenced tracks, and this way of establishing contrasting atmospheres without overdoing it.
Used to electric formats as well as more stripped-down configurations, Kaz Hawkins projects the same energy regardless of the setting, blending original compositions with rearranged covers. Her songs revolve around memory, cracks, and resilience, with a contemporary blues nourished by American influences but firmly rooted in her Northern Irish roots. A date designed for those who come seeking presence, a story, and music that is lived in the present.
