Info
On April 12, 2027, Cornelius lands in Montréal at Théâtre Beanfield with the kind of live set that sits between pop songwriting and sound experiment. Behind the name is Tokyo musician Keigo Oyamada, a key figure of the Shibuya-kei orbit who first made waves with Flipper’s Guitar before carving out a solo path built on sharp edits, tight rhythms and playful collisions of styles.
Expect a show that moves easily from melodic hooks to finely layered textures: guitars, electronics, chamber-pop details, bits of collage, and side glances toward bossa nova, psychedelia and ambient. From the bright, fragmented pop of Fantasma to the more spacious, often instrumental moods of Point, Sensuous, Mellow Waves and Dream in Dream, his music keeps reshaping itself while staying precise and tactile. Onstage, that attention to sound and image turns the concert into something closer to an audiovisual experience than a standard rock set.
