Info
On April 4, 2027, Loreena McKennitt makes a stop at the Salle Pleyel in Paris for a concert framed as a return to roots: the 30th-anniversary tour of The Mask and The Mirror. On stage, the Canadian singer-songwriter revisits the 1994 album in its running order, from the first track to the last, as a continuous journey where Celtic traditions, Spanish hues, and rhythms from the Maghreb intersect. A pivotal record in her career, conceived as a historical and musical pilgrimage, blending ballads, instrumental pieces, and lyrics set to music.
To carry this largely acoustic material, she surrounds herself with a band tailored for nuance: Caroline Lavelle on cello, Brian Hughes on guitar, Hugh Marsh on violin, Dudley Phillips on bass, and Robert Brian on drums. The set also allows for crowd-pleasing tracks, in the spirit of the highlights of her repertoire, with those meticulously crafted string arrangements and that poised voice that is her signature.
