Info
On March 21, 2027, Danielle Ponder brings her contemporary soul to The Great Hall in Toronto. Raised in Rochester, she writes songs that move between classic soul weight, modern R&B edge, and trip-hop shadows, carried by a wide, steady voice that knows how to sit in the tension without rushing it. Her debut album Some of Us Are Brave (2022) set the tone: slow-burning ballads, downtempo atmospheres, and more direct cuts that still leave room for texture and silence.
On stage, that mix translates into grooves that take their time and choruses that hit without needing big effects, with a dark sheen in the production and a very human presence at the center. Expect a set that leans into mood as much as melody, and a singer who can turn a quiet line into something that sticks with you long after the last note.
