Info
Clinton Fearon returns to the stage in 2027 with a live show conceived as a grand return to his roots: the repertoire of The Gladiators, the band for which he served as bassist, vocalist and lyricist for nearly twenty years. On May 21, 2027, at La Rayonne in Villeurbanne, he dives back into those tracks he co-wrote and shaped through Jamaican sessions, blending roots grooves with social and spiritual storytelling. On the program, classics such as Chatty Chatty Mouth, Richman Poorman, On The Other Side, or Jah Works, reinterpreted with Riddim Source and an arrangement featuring brass, percussion and backing vocals, to recapture the trio's harmonic color. A figure in reggae since the late 1960s, Fearon also brings to his solo work the hallmark of his style: melodic bass lines, a measured, narrative vocal, and writing that speaks of daily life, memory and commitment, while staying true to the roots vibe.
