Info
Now Wave brings Greg Freeman to The Deaf Institute in Manchester on February 11, 2027, for a show that sits right where alt-country meets indie rock grit. Based in Burlington, Vermont, Freeman writes in a straight, narrative style, with songs that can feel stripped-back and intimate one minute, then push into rougher, noisier guitar country-rock the next. His music draws on American tradition without getting stuck in it, keeping a tension between calm vocals and a band-ready punch.
After first stepping out on the Burlington indie scene, he expanded his reach with I Looked Out (released in 2022, then reissued in 2024) and followed it up with Burnover in 2025, leaning into a broader sound while staying true to those lyric-first instincts. Expect a set built for live connection: direct storytelling, shifting dynamics, and that balance of hush and bite that lands best in a room like this.
