Info
Mad Tsai brings The Bite Back Tour to Toronto on November 7, 2026, with a set built for anyone who likes pop that tells the truth fast and hits hard. Coming out of the alt-pop and bedroom-pop scene, he writes short, hooky songs where relationships, identity, and sexuality aren’t side notes but the whole point, delivered with a direct, sometimes ironic edge.
Behind the project is Jonathan Tsai, a songwriter who first started sharing tracks at the end of the 2010s before gaining momentum in 2020 through the way his music and online life fed each other. Expect bright choruses and light, clean production that can slip from indie-pop sweetness into small touches of rock or electronics, depending on the track. In the spirit of singles like “Boy Bi,” “heartbreak honeymoon,” or “Stacy’s Brother,” this show at Drake Underground is about tight melodies, sharp lines, and that feeling of singing something a little too real.
