Info
On November 27, 2026 at TRAIN in Aarhus, URO brings its singular corner of Norwegian hip-hop to the stage. Born in Oslo’s early rap scene in the mid-1990s, the group built a style often tagged as “Viking rap”: 1990s alternative hip-hop at the core, with lyrics that jump from Nordic mythology and skald traditions to city life, graffiti, and politics. Expect a set that moves fast between storytelling and punchlines, with that mix of humor and mild subversion that made them stand out on Norway’s independent circuit.
URO’s run traces a very DIY timeline, from the UROkkelig demo to the Snakker så du skjønner EP, then the album Sirkus URO and a string of releases across the early 2000s. Live, that catalog is less about nostalgia than about language, flow, and attitude: rap in their mother tongue, sharp turns in subject matter, and a crew dynamic shaped by years of building their own lane.
