Info
On January 21, 2027, Ayra Starr will perform at the Melkweg in Amsterdam with her Starrgirl World Tour. The singer, born in Cotonou and raised between Benin and Lagos, belongs to a new Nigerian Afropop generation that moves effortlessly between Afrobeats, contemporary R&B, and alté. Since her breakthrough with Mavin Records, she has built her songs around melodic hooks, a smooth voice, and a mix of English, Nigerian Pidgin, and Yoruba.
Live, you can expect a set that follows the pace of her journey: from the early energy of her EP Ayra Starr and 19 & Dangerous to the international boost of Rush, and the more mature, introspective sides of The Year I Turned 21. Ayra Starr's music is about relationships, self-confidence, and growing up, with room for pop sensibility and rhythm. After collaborations that push her sound toward international pop and more restrained R&B, this concert is the moment to hear that versatility in one show.
