Info
On February 4, 2027, Karate Boogaloo land at A L P H A B E T in Brighton and Hove with their tightly wound brand of cinematic, instrumental soul. Coming out of Melbourne’s current groove renaissance, the quartet plays like a small-combo unit raised on deep funk tradition, but with a sideways, distinctly Australian sense of humour that keeps things light on its feet.
Friends since high school, they’ve built a near-telepathic chemistry through years of basement jams, locking into crisp drums, elastic basslines and sharp guitar hooks that nod to the lineage of Booker T & The MG’s and The Meters without slipping into pastiche. Fresh from touring Europe alongside Surprise Chef, they arrive with new momentum and the promise of their next chapter: material tied to their third full-length LP, Access All Areas, due in 2026 via Colemine and College Of Knowledge Records.
