Info
June 12, 2027, Osees storm Cabaret Sauvage in Paris with Brigid Dawson for an evening where rock is played on instinct and at full volume. Led by John Dwyer, the band—born in San Francisco and later based in Los Angeles—has undergone several lifetimes and several names, while keeping the same appetite for collisions: nerve-wracked garage, derailed psychedelia, sharp punk, and more experimental detours, often propelled by repetitive loops that tilt toward krautrock. On stage, the current lineup makes the rhythm speak like an engine, in a dense, physical performance that alternates short, tight songs with long builds that leave room for drift. From The Master’s Bedroom Is Worth Spending a Night In to Orc, Smote Reverser, Face Stabber, up to more recent records like A Foul Form, Intercepted Message or Sorcs 80, the repertoire offers plenty to switch, without warning, from melody to frontal assault.
