Info
On 5 June 2027, “An evening with Black Flag” lands at O2 Academy Islington in London for a deep dive into one of American hardcore’s most influential stories. Built around Greg Ginn’s jagged, minimalist guitar attack and a fiercely DIY spirit, Black Flag helped shape the West Coast punk circuit through relentless touring and a sound that never sat still.
Expect a set that can jump from the fast, abrasive punch of their early hardcore years to the heavier, slower grind they pushed on records like Damaged and My War, where metal weight and longer, more fractured structures started to creep in. Over the years, the band’s shifting lineups and phases have kept the tension high, and that same no-nonsense approach is what makes a Black Flag show feel direct, physical, and uncompromising.
