Info
On March 6, 2027, Elles Bailey will perform at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen with her fusion of blues rock, Americana, and roots, carried by her deep, raspy voice that lingers in the memory. From Bristol she gradually built her own sound: first with EPs such as Who Am I to Me and The Elberton Sessions, then with Wildfire, recorded in Nashville, where the love for American traditions clearly comes to the fore.
Live, she translates her songs into a set that shifts between road rock, roots ballads, and country soul, leaving room for rough edges as well as melody. Albums such as Road I Call Home and Ain’t Nothing But continue that course, while Shining in the Half Light presents her songwriting more compact and tighter. With more recent work such as Beneath the Neon Glow, she comes to Groningen to let that repertoire breathe on stage: direct, warm, and made to ride along with the flow of the evening.
