Info
Santiano celebrate in 2027 their 15th band anniversary—and bring their mix of shanty, folk and rock exactly to where it resonates best: under the open sky. On 22 August 2027, the northern German band will perform at the Seebühne Bremen and expand their maritime anthems into a large sing-along and clap-along show, carried by choirs, powerful refrains and this rough, forward-driving sound that sits between traditional sea shanties and modern rock.
Since their formation in 2011, Santiano have consistently developed the idea of shanty rock: stories of the sea, departure and travel, mostly in German, meeting rock-infused arrangements and folk influences. In the set, songs from the debut 'Bis ans Ende der Welt' will have their place just as much as material from later albums such as 'Mit den Gezeiten', 'Von Liebe, Tod und Freiheit' or 'Da braut sich was zusammen' (2025).
The anniversary tour is thus less a retrospective than an evening that showcases the full range of this collective live.
