Info
Jahneration is the story of Thëo and Ogach, two Parisian friends who left punk rock to build, since 2009, a modern reggae nourished by hip-hop and dancehall. Sung in English, with touches of Jamaican patois, their sound blends melodic choruses, more rap-inflected flows, and instrumentals that swing between roots and digital. The duo has refined its identity across the albums, from Jahneration (2016) to Stuck in the Middle (2019) and then Higher (2021), alternating introspective tracks and more uptempo songs.
On stage, they surround themselves with musicians and bring this band energy to life, honed over hundreds of shows in France and beyond. Regularly collaborating, they have left their mark with Naâman, but have also crossed paths with Alborosie, Queen Omega, Manu Chao, Dub Inc or Danakil. On March 27, 2027, Jahneration will lay down its basses and vibes at 9-9bis in Oignies, for a live show tailored for fans of contemporary reggae who move as much as they unite.
